The About Course element in Tutor LMS displays the course excerpt content (short description) along with a “Show More” and “Show Less” button. This feature enhances user experience by allowing learners to expand or collapse the course details.

Available Controls
Content Controls
- Excerpt Length – Set the maximum number of characters to display before truncation.
- Show More Button Text – Customize the text for the “Show More” button.
- Show Less Button Text – Customize the text for the “Show Less” button.
- Button Position – Choose where to place the “Show More” button (Below text, Inline).
- Enable Animation – Add a smooth transition effect when expanding/collapsing content.
Style Controls
- Text Color – Customize the color of the course description text.
- Typography – Adjust font size, weight, and style for the description.
- Button Style – Customize the color, background, border, and padding of the “Show More” button.
- Spacing – Adjust spacing between elements for better layout.
Dynamic Behavior
- The About Course element automatically fetches the excerpt of the current course.
- If the excerpt exceeds the set limit, the extra text is hidden with a “Show More” button.
- Clicking “Show More” expands the full content, while “Show Less” collapses it again.
